Kristen Scott, MFA, MA, Ph.D

Kristen D. Scott is a six-time nominee of the Pushcart Prize in poetry for six works from her 2014 collection OPIATE. She is an award-winning essayist for her work on Federico Garcia Lorca and his books the Divan del Tamarit, Poet of the Deep Song, and essay, "The Duende."
She has published in several anthologies, newspapers, and ezines, including two front covers from Nacional Newspaper in Albania, the San Diego Poetry Annuals, Nomos Review, Perigee, Alesbuyia, and published two poetry collections from Garden Oak Press; LIAISONS (2012) and OPIATE (2014). She has been translated into Arabic, Albanian, Türçe, and Italian.
Scott is currently the Editor-In-Chief, founder, and web designer of KNOT Magazine.
Rachid Filali

Rachid Filali was born in Algeria in 1964 and has been a journalist since 1985. Filali is a researcher in linguistics and is fluent in a number of languages: English, Arabic, French, German, Chinese, and Japanese. He expressed his view about the universe and life in his first collection of poetry published in 2007. The second book published in 2014. In addition to these, he has published two books on world literature. He is also scientifically published in his study book about bees. Currently, he is collaborating with a number of Arab and foreign magazines and works as corrector and revisor for the newspaper Elkhabar-Elriadi.

Penny Perry, a seven time Pushcart nominee, is the author of the poetry collection Santa Monica Disposal and Salvage from Garden Oak Press. Her novel, Selling Pencils and Charlie was a finalist in the San Diego Book Awards. Her new poetry collection Woman with Newspaper Shoes was published in June 2022 by Garden Oak Press. She is a co-fiction and non-fiction editor at KNOT Magazine.
Imene Benanni, Ph.D

Imene Bennani is a Tunisian scholar who graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Sousse (Tunisia) and at present works as an assistant at the University of Kairouan. She is currently preparing her Ph.D. in Contemporary Arab American Poetry. Her fields of interest include (Arab) American Literature, literary theory, cultural studies, and literary translation.
